My Experience with the New Fragrance from Rituals – Nuit de l'Himalaya
As an avid Rituals fan, I couldn’t wait to try the latest fragrance, Nuit de l’Himalaya . Rituals is known for their special fragrances, and this time they wanted to capture the mystical atmosphere of a night in the Himalayas in a bottle. Although I personally find the scent a bit too heavy and sweet, it is definitely a unique creation – and that’s exactly what I like when it comes to fragrances.
Packaging: Luxury and Mystical
The packaging of Nuit de l'Himalaya exudes pure luxury. The bottle is square, made of glass and has a beautiful deep purple color that is reminiscent of a starry sky above the Himalayas. The glass feels sturdy and refined, exactly what you would expect from a high-end perfume. The wooden cap is the perfect natural contrast to the shiny bottle. With the Rituals logo engraved in the wood, and the Rituals name subtly printed on the bottle itself, this perfume gives you the feeling of luxury as soon as you hold it in your hands.
The Fragrance Notes: Warm, Sweet and Earthy
With the first touch of the scent on your skin, you will immediately notice the intensity of the scent. Nuit de l'Himalaya opens with warm, sweet notes of sandalwood and patchouli, which immediately embrace you. The vanilla adds a softer, sweet undertone, making the scent deep, sultry and comforting. While I personally find the scent too heavy and sweet for my everyday preference – I tend to prefer lighter, fresher scents – it is clear that this is a statement perfume. It lasts for hours and is ideal for those who like to make an impression.
